Black Friday Sales!

Satin Hands Pampering Set
So the weekend of deals is upon us... oh.  Thanksgiving too I suppose.  hehe.  Just kidding!  Ok, seriously though, I have some sweet sales to share with you all.  I know that some of you probably saw my post about selling Mary Kay.  It was a decision I made to try to be able to work from home in the future and be able to help pay the bills while spending more time with my family.  It was an easy decision to make.  I have only just started my Mary Kay journey, but I love it so far.  It's been great learning some sweet techniques, and finding some new products that I now can't live without.

Mint Bliss Energizing Lotion
I've decided to hold two different sales, starting tomorrow.  You get to pick which one you want to take advantage of.  I love options, and I think you all do too.  If you shop with me this weekend you can choose to get free products when you spend $50 or more, or you can choose to take %15 off of your purchase of $30 or more.  Check out my flyer below for more details on how to get free products.  If you want to take %15 off, just type in the code "THANKFUL" at checkout.

You can order online through my website www.marykay.com/CopperS, over the phone, or in person.  If you need some product suggestions or tips, please feel free to ask me anything!  You can email me at CopperS@marykay.com.

Please consider doing some of your holiday shopping with me this weekend!  I would be super grateful, and you will LOVE your Mary Kay products.

There's something for everyone.  Just a few suggestions-  the Satin Hands Pampering Set is only $34 and it is AMAZING.  Perfect for just about anyone.   Teachers, grandmothers, wives, your boss, your secretary... whoever!

Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner
The Mint Bliss Energizing Lotion for Feet & Legs is only $10 and is perfect for tired feet.  If you need to pamper a hard working woman, this is a great option.

My personal favorite product right now that I just can't seem to live without is the Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner With Expandable Brush.  I love how easy it is to get a really thick, really defined cat eye with this product, and at the same time how easy it is to get a nice smooth thin line.  The expandable brush starts out nice and small, but really does become the perfect size for a comfortable grip once it's opened up.  At $16 I feel like you can't beat this.  It comes in black and teal. And it will last you a good long time.   A little goes a long way.  If you want it, get it now!  For now it is just a limited time product, although I am sincerely hoping that it will become a permanent offering.

TimeWise Miracle Set
Another great gift idea is the TimeWise Miracle Set, which comes with a 3 in 1 cleanser, age-fighting moisturizer, day solution sunscreen (broad spectrum SPF 35, and a night solution.  I love this stuff.  It has been clinically proven to reduce signs of aging, but more importantly, it makes your skin look and feel awesome.  It's a little bit more of an investment, but it is completely worth it.  This is a great option for anyone in their mid 20's and beyond, and it makes a really luxurious gift.

Mary Kay Brush Collection
Ok-  one last suggestion.  The Mary Kay Brush Collection is a set of high quality brushes in a roll-up pouch that has tons of pockets inside to store more than just your brushes.  It's a great set.  Every woman should have a set of high quality brushes to apply her makeup with.  It makes a huge difference in how easy it is to put on makeup and make it look really great.  It's the difference between professional looking makeup, and the way your face used to look in highschool after you got done putting your makeup on in the school bathroom.  hehe.  At $48 for a professional set of brushes, you can't beat the price.  You're looking at about $15 per brush if you were to buy them from a beauty supply store.  And no case.  They're great!

There really are so many wonderful gift options on my site.  Check it out!

Now- here's my sales flyer!  Don't forget you can choose the free gifts or %15 off your total purchase of $30 or more by using the code "THANKFUL" from now through Sunday.  Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving is Coming! Try This Recipe!

Ok-

So Thanksgiving is coming up in just a few days (EEK!) and now is the time to get all your ducks in a row.  If you are looking for a yummy recipe to try and spice things up a bit, I am going to share my all time favorite Thanksgiving recipe with you.

I'm not a huge fan of cranberry jelly (especially not if it came out of a can), and I'm just not a big tart-cranberry-dish person.  Maybe it's because I grew up with my Great Grandma Hilty's cranberry relish.  But either way, I'm spoiled.  And it's good.  You should try this.  It's so easy and makes enough that you can freeze half of it and save it for your Christmas dinner.  I do that every year and it's awesome.  One less thing to worry about at Christmas time.

Without further ado-  here it is!  Warning- you may never make another cranberry dish again.

Great Grandma Hilty's Cranberry Relish

ingredients-
4 small bags of cranberries
1 celery bunch, leaves and all (just get rid of the very bottom)
2 or 3 crisp, sweet apples
2 16 oz cans of crushed pineapple
4 bags of knox unflavored gelatin
4 boxes of raspberry jello (the smaller, 3 oz boxes)
3 cups boiling water
3 cups sugar
1 8oz package of chopped walnuts

make it-

Mix knox gelatin and jello in a bowl.  Add boiling water and sugar.
Wash & chop cranberries, apples, and celery in a food proccessor.  Add to the water, jello, and sugar mixture.  Add in pineapples and walnuts.
This makes a LOT of cranberry relish.  Refrigerate half of it, and freeze the other half!

I like making this a couple of days ahead of time because the flavors mix so well, and it's one less thing to worry about on Thanksgiving day.

ENJOY!

Seriously, you may never make another cranberry recipe for Thanksgiving again.

Let's Take This Into Our Own Hands

So I told you all about my work drama.  I'm not sure what's going on with it all right now, honestly.  But I am trying not to worry about it, because worrying doesn't really do anyone any good.  What I have decided is that I need to do something where my destiny is in my own hands.  Financially speaking anyway.

So I have signed up to be an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay.  I'm super excited!  I really love the women that I've started working with.  Talk about positive people!  I love that it's flexible.  I love that I can make as much or as little out of it as I want.  I love that I get a sweet deal on awesome makeup for myself.  I love that my job is going to consist of parties, facials, makeovers, and girl time.

I love that when I opened up my new consultant starter kit, this is what I saw.

Can you tell I'm excited about this?  I'm going to work my butt off to make something out of this business, so that some day down the road, I can be home a lot more with Eisley and my future babies.  I am also excited that my skin is going to look really stinkin fabulous all the time.

So if you want to order some products, find out about hosting a party (if you're in the Kansas City area), or talk to me about starting your own Mary Kay business, head on over to my new website!
I know stuff like this isn't for everyone, but I think it's a great option for a lot of women, especially moms.

Anywhoo, not to say that this is going to solve all of my financial problems or be an overnight success, but I feel really good about it.  Sometimes it's just nice to start something new.  Something to throw my energy into.

Wish me luck!  I am going to do everything I can to make a better life for my daughter and my family.  And I want to spend as much time enjoying my family as possible.
